{"id":517,"name":"PatrickDoyon","url":"","description":"Patrick Doyon is an Academy Award nominated director based in Montreal, Canada. Its first professional film Sunday (2011), produced by National Film Board of Canada, garnered honours on the international festival circuit as well as being nominated for an Oscar for best animated short in 2012 and winning a Jutra in this category the same year. He studied graphic design at Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al and since 2005, he is sharing his time between illustration and animation. Many of his works and collaborations have been awarded in various competitions : Art Directors Club, Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, Applied Arts, 3x3 ProShow and Grafika have all highlighted the quality of his artwork. In 2015, he received the prestigious Governor General Literary Award for his first children\u2019s book The Sandwich Thief (published by Chronicle Books). In Spring 2017, Patrick presented his first video installation titled GRRR (Georges R\u00e9mi, Relu & Remix\u00e9) at the gallery La Bande Vid\u00e9o in Quebec City. This exhibition was screened in some places in Quebec and got selected at the 12th edition of Arte Lagunal Prize in Venice. While continuing his artistic practice, he is teaching at the UQAM School of Design and devotes time to mentoring emerging illustrators and filmmakers in specific occasions.\r\n- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - \r\nPatrick est un artiste originaire du Lac St-Jean, \u00e9tabli \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al depuis plus de 20 ans. Titulaire d'un baccalaur\u00e9at en design graphique de l'\u00c9cole de Design de l'UQAM, son premier film professionnel Dimanche (2011), qu\u2019il a sc\u00e9naris\u00e9, anim\u00e9 et r\u00e9alis\u00e9, a recueilli  plusieurs honneurs sur le circuit international des festivals en plus d'\u00eatre nomm\u00e9 pour l'Oscar\u00ae du meilleur anim\u00e9 court en 2012 et de remporter un Jutra la m\u00eame ann\u00e9e. Depuis la fin de ses \u00e9tudes, il partage son temps entre l\u2019illustration et l\u2019animation. Plusieurs de ses oeuvres et collaborations ont re\u00e7u des r\u00e9compenses dans divers concours : Art Directors Club, Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, Applied Arts, 3x3 et Grafika ont tous soulign\u00e9 la qualit\u00e9 de son travail. Son livre illustr\u00e9 Le Voleur de Sandwichs (publi\u00e9 chez La Past\u00e8que) a remport\u00e9 le Prix litt\u00e9raire du Gouverneur G\u00e9n\u00e9ral, le Prix des Incorruptibles en France, en plus d\u2019\u00eatre finaliste pour le Prix TD de la litt\u00e9rature pour l\u2019enfance en 2015. Au printemps 2017, Patrick a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 sa premi\u00e8re installation vid\u00e9o intitul\u00e9e GRRR (Georges R\u00e9mi, Relu & Remix\u00e9) \u00e0 la galerie La Bande Vid\u00e9o \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec. L'exposition fut reprise \u00e0 quelques endroits au Qu\u00e9bec, en plus d'\u00eatre s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e \u00e0 la 12e \u00e9dition du prestigieux concours Arte Laguna Prize pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e0 l'Arsenal de Venice.
